The Drakul Scroll . ...... or .. well read on .. *grins*

 The Night before had become a bit of a blur as my Mind was preoccupied with

So many thoughts .. Ah but the meeting I had with Mathias Brucato Leader

of The House of Drakul Coven .. lingered .. Then there was The Drakul Scroll . 

Nothing more sacred nor passionate to a Coven Leader then the Life of their Coven,

Breezy thought to herself .. Let me see what I can do here to help. smile  

 Great Lengths had gone into this presentation and delivery to me.

Hence, I did not wish to let  my Friend Down . 
For I knew he was counting on

me to get the word out .. and do so quickly  .

  Mathias  wants to spark an interest in our own Vampire Traditions ..

aww What Better one to start with then a good old fashion  Enrapture,
Blood Bath ,Re birth for one of our own ..

A Bit of History Behind this Most Special of Cermonies 

Blood Birth or Enrapture.
((presented to me by Mathias Brucato Leader of House of Drakul))
The Blood Birth is the primal rite of re birth for a Vampire.
It is a process whereby a human is first killed and then resurrected as a Vampire by another Vampire.
This process is called the Blood Birth or to be Enraptured
The new Vampire is then said to be “Born in the Blood“.
All Vampires have passed through this process to become what they are.
It is as much an important a date for Vampires as was once their human birthday.
Of course talk of ones own progenitor has ultimately given rise to questions as to who gave birth to the first vampire.
There are many legends surrounding this , but none are more than that, just Legends.
Most look no further than the Elders of their Sabat for their origin. (See note on meaning of Sabat bellow)

The Process

To be Blood Birthed a human must first be completely drained of all their blood by a Vampire.
The Vampire then opens a wound in its own body, usually the wrist, and allows the blood from that wound to drain into the mouth of the human to be Enraptured.
After a short while the Vita in the Vampire blood will re animate the dead corpse enough for it to begin to suck the blood for itself.
And thus is born another of the Chosen
This is called The Blood Birth or Enrapture.
The process becomes extremely sensual and intensely erotic for both beings involved.
In Venexia Enrapture is by traditon carried out in the Sanctum Sanctorum at the centre of the Isola dei Morti .

Upon completion the new vampire is referred to as Novus.
The new Vampire will retain the look and age of the human they were before death, although the skin usually takes on a pallid bloodless waxy tone.
They become a permanent fixed portrait of their former Human selves.
In Venexia this process of Blood Birthing can only be achieved by Coven Leaders because the process is extremely tiring and draining for the Vampire performing the act, so the practice is not performed often, or taken lightly when it is.
If you wish to turn a human you believe is worthy to join the Chosen then you must find a Coven leader who will perform the rite for you.
Usually it is performed after long consultation with others of ones Bloodline. And great care is also taken in choosing from amongst the Herd those that are deemed suitable to be Chosen.
A human turned without full permission may well be cast out of society and marked as Free Blood (see note on crime and punishment)
In these times of hunger when the stocks of the Herd are so depleted by Plague it is not considered reasonable to add to the ranks of the Chosen without good cause.

Suckling

After Enrapture it takes a few days for fangs to fully develop in the new vampire, and for the body to become accustomed to its new source of nourishment.
So the Novus cannot feed directly from another creature.
For this period the Novus must drink blood from a vessel.
This blood is usually obtained for the Novus by the Vampire who called for their Enrapture, this is called suckling.
Some Vampires actually feed the Novus their own blood, but this is illegal and if done is not spoken of.
In this way Novus tend to have strong “Blood Bonds” to those who Enrapture them and refer to them always with great respect, as humans would their natural birth parents.
While the New Vampire remains Novus their creator is responsible for all that they do and is punishable along with them if they break the laws.

OOC note;Enraptured Humans will not have Coven leader applications approved for at least 3 weeks after the rite no matter how old they are in game time.
